Inspired by our purpose (“raison d’être”), we reconcile economic performance with a positive impact on people and the planet, building on our key businesses (gas, renewable energy, services) to offer competitive solutions About the job: Business Line: AMEA Reporting to: CEO Primary Location: At Site (Two sites 300Km Distance) KSA Employee Status: Permanent Schedule: Full Time Key activities and competencies The Construction Director is responsible for (Two sites 300Km Distance) : Delivering utility‑scale assets safely, on schedule, and within budget, in full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards, to successfully achieve performance testing and enable long‑term reliable operation in line with project life requirements. Monitoring, coordinating, and reporting on the BOP Contractor’s engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities, both during the design review phase and at site, to safeguard the best interests of the Project Company. Directing and coordinating the Owner’s Engineer team on site and during engineering phases to ensure consistent technical oversight and alignment with project requirements. Ensuring the timely and effective management of all technical and contractual interfaces, particularly with the offtaker, grid operator, regulatory authorities, BOP Contractor, Supplier and key vendors, to enable seamless integration, energisation, and handover of the facility . Responsibilities: Will follow up the plant construction with the assistance of the Owner’s Engineer to ensure that it is performed properly in terms of quality, schedule and budget in line with the OEM and BOP Contract. Has a responsibility for HSSE implementation in the Project Co. and Owner’s team and in leading the H&S culture at site. Monitors the work at site and liaises with and coordinates the efforts of the Owner’s Engineer, the local contractors, if any, the local authorities, interface parties and the EPC Contractor. He is their direct contact at site. Timely reports technical variances to the CEO of the Project Company and proposes jointly with the Owner’s Engineer mitigation or alternative solutions. Make sure that agreed corrective actions to mitigate the effects of variances are planned and carried out. Will monitor and keep updated when needed the overall schedule of the project construction integrating the EPC schedule with the schedule of permits, authorizations and other contractual obligations. Will lead technical meetings with the BOP Contractor, off-takers, suppliers, Environmental and other Authorities. Will review the commissioning procedures received from the BOP Contractor and Supplier s . Will issue the commissioning procedures on behalf of the Project Company based on the BOP Contractor and Supplier’s procedures. Will understand performance, capacity, efficiency, availability and grid compliance test procedures and reports. Will lead design review meeting session and take technical decisions with the support of the OE. Will ensure IPR HSSE standards are applied and strictly followed. Will be responsible for HSE in the Owner’s team and in leading the H&S culture set at site. Works in partnership with the Project Company’s Health and Safety Officer, to ensure that the Contractor implements health and safety and environmental measures on site in accordance with the Contract. Will assist the CEO on the contractual/commercial issues. Will analyze request for Change Order received from the Contractors and give recommendations. Will handle technical issues which may occur during the construction of the Plant with the support of the OE. Will supervise the OE team and assess/manage its performance. Will interact with the Lenders Engineer, Construction and Operational Insurance advisers. Will issue Weekly Progress Report, Monthly Progress Report for the Project Company. Will write technical Memo summarizing issues which occurred during the design review stage and/or at the site. Will interact with the O&M team to allow having a smooth mobilization. Will manage all the interfaces between the Plant and the Third Parties (Off-taker, Load Dispatch Center, local authorities, fire brigade, Environmental Authorities as applicable). Will host various visitors at the site (Engie management, Authorities, etc.). Will write technical letters to off-taker, local authorities, fire brig
