About the role

▪ Ensures the care of all patients requiring surgical treatment of ENT procedures. ▪ Performs professional duties as ENT SPECIALIST. ▪ Collaborates with other departmental personnel in planning programs integrating the curative and preventive aspect of total patient care. Is responsible for the operation of approved curative preventive programs as they relate to this his/her particular field. ▪ Determines which surgical and related service procedures are proper to undertake and when new techniques will be utilized. Determines requirements and initiates action to assure availability of special equipment and supplies ▪ Works with Director of Surgical and Diagnostic Services Department and other Division Heads on related problems in the Department. ▪ Provides for training and in – service programs or other development activities ▪ Develops and maintains professional quality standards and makes recommendations for improvement of such standards. ▪ Treats patient with compassion and to be person centered care. ▪ Provides education to the patient and family regarding their diagnosis, treatment options, and alternatives and other. ▪ Shares in patient education ▪ Provide personalized coordinated care, support and treatment for patients and families. ▪ Treat people with dignity, compassion, and respect. ▪ Involving patients in decisions and helping them take actions to support themselves. ▪ Involve patients, families and caregivers by providing them with education and resources for offering optimal support to promote recovery . ▪ Dedicated to education of health professions students, residents and Fellow physicians so they can work together in multidisciplinary teams to provide competent, ethical and continuous person-centered care. Requirements: ▪ Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from a recognized university. ▪ Board/Fellowship in specialty + post-training clinical experience as mandated by SCFHS. ▪ Valid SCFHS Consultant classification & registration.
