Psychologist

Job Purpose / Objective : Oversees and provide planning and treatment in psychology and conduct functional assessment and identify problems—emotional, mental and behavioural—in their lives and help patients to overcome a range of problems. A clinical psychologist has a stronger focus on those with a psychosis or other serious mental illness. Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities : - Assess and diagnose an individual's needs, abilities or behaviour using a variety of methods, including psychometric tests, interviews and direct observation of behaviour. - Identify psychological, emotional or behavioural issues. - Diagnose psychological, emotional or behavioural disorders. - Develop and implement treatment plans and therapeutic processes. - Help clients define goals and plan action to achieve personal, social, educational and vocational development and adjustment. - Monitor client progress through regular meetings or sessions. - Collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary team, working alongside other health professionals (e.g., physicians, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, pharmacists and dentists). - Create and monitor appropriate programs of treatment, including therapy, in collaboration with other involved health professionals. - Offer therapy for difficulties relating to anxiety, depression, addictions, social/ interpersonal problems, and risky behaviours. - Rehabilitate patients into the community. - Develop and evaluating programs for the provision of mental & behavioural health services. - Provide consultation to other health professionals and other involved staff. - Carry out applied research, adding to the evidence base of practice in a variety of health care settings - Document the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients in their medical record. - Administer and monitor appropriate treatment therapies and strategies. - Participate in person-centered care initiatives undertaken by HMG. - Enrich patient experience with compassion, respect and dignity. - Perform other applicable task and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities. Requirements: Education/ Professional Qualification: - Educational : Master’s Degree; preferably PhD - Professional : Psychology Experience: - Four (4) years of professional Psychology practice after training, including evaluation and consultation. Professional Licensing / Certification / Training: - Certification : BLS or relevant certification - Licensing : Saudi Council & Licensed from Country of Origin (preferably USA or Canada)
