About the role
Aramco energizes the world economy. Aramco occupies a special position in the global energy industry. We are one of the world’s largest producers of hydrocarbon energy and chemicals, with among the lowest Upstream carbon intensities of any major producer. With our significant investment in technology and infrastructure, we strive to maximize the value of the energy we produce for the world along with a commitment to enhance Aramco’s value to society. Headquartered in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and with offices around the world, we combine market discipline with a generations’ spanning view of the future, born of our nine decades experience as responsible stewards of the Kingdom’s vast hydrocarbon resources. This responsibility has driven us to deliver significant societal and economic benefits to not just the Kingdom, but also to a vast number of communities, economies, and countries that rely on the vital and reliable energy that we supply. I&MPM manages full lifecycle project delivery for critical infrastructure and maritime ventures across its sites and ports. Services span feasibility, design, construction, commissioning, and handover of civil works, buildings, roads, utilities, and industrial facilities, plus port upgrades, berth changes, marine logistics, and vessel capital projects. This includes reviewing and approving engineering designs, technical specifications, and drawings to ensure strict compliance with Saudi Aramco standards, NEC/IEC codes, and international regulatory requirements, while actively managing on-site execution, contractor performance, and vendor equipment evaluations. Key Responsibilities As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following: Provide technical authority and oversight for the design, execution, and commissioning of complex electrical and instrumentation systems, while formulating the basis for engineering studies by analyzing data regarding scope, economic value, and long-range planning. Coordinate work direction for the preparation of designs, processes, and reports, supporting project execution by initiating detailed work outlines, making decisions on basic processes, and ensuring the integration of control systems into broader infrastructure developments. Assess the technical validity and regulatory compliance of complex engineering schematics and specifications, reviewing the work of directed engineers and third parties to ensure adherence to established industry standards and report presentation methods. Perform rigorous reviews of vendor submittals and equipment documentation to ensure alignment with requirements, while evaluating contractor performance and approving problem-solving reports to assure efficiency and conformance to overall project objectives. Direct the troubleshooting and resolution of sophisticated technical challenges related to electrical systems and process controls, acting as a technical consultant to discuss, coordinate, and resolve problems with internal and external personnel. Lead continuous improvement initiatives by recommending and implementing solutions for facility modifications, estimating costs, preparing technical justifications, and completing expenditure requests to enhance existing facilities and standardization. Oversee the development and execution of commissioning and startup procedures for critical assets, leading the implementation and operation of all recommended solutions to ensure effective facility enhancements. Mentor and develop engineering staff by providing guidance on advanced design methodologies and reliability standards, delegating work to directed personnel, and finalizing specialized technical proposals and studies of proposed projects.
