Category All Clear Select how often (in days) to receive an alert: Create Alert × Select how often (in days) to receive an alert: Apply now » Electrical Technician Date: Sep 30, 2026 Location: SA Job Description: Job Title - Electrical Technician Job location (Department/Plant) - Plant – Electrical Maintenance Reporting to Supervisor / Engineer – Electrical Job Summary - Works under the direction of Electrical Supervisor / Engineer, to execute all Preventive, Corrective and Condition based maintenance activities, annual outage and overhauling work activities on plant equipment with strict adherence to safety. Roles & Responsibilities – 1.Generic awareness of Quality, Occupational Health & Safety and Environment Management system principles 2.Be able to work both in independently and in a team environment completing objectives efficiently with a sense of responsibility. 3.Be able and willing to work in non-ideal environments such as: confined spaces, working at heights and around chemicals. 4.Understand, practice and enforce safe work practices related to the following: respiratory protection, elevated work platforms, fall protection, control of hazardous energy (Lockout/Tag-out procedure), fire protection systems, electrical safety, confined space entry, PPE etc. 5.Knowledge of identification, classification and disposal of waste 6.Knowledge of environmental and health impact of chemicals being used in the plant 7.Knowledge of firefighting equipment 8.Knowledge of First aid measures 9.Basic Knowledge on Power/Water plant operational activities. 10.Basic computer skills Job Specifications Educational Desired Diploma in Electrical Engineering OR Worked as Skilled Electrical skilled Labor in NOMAC plants for a minimum of 4 years Preferred Bachelor of Engineering. Minimum Experience Minimum 4 years in the same position OR Worked as Skilled Electrical Skilled Labor in NOMAC plants for a minimum of 4 years Desired certification / Job specific skill / Training - ISO9001, 14001, OHSAS 18001 awareness/working knowledge is preferred. Diploma in Electrical Engineering OR Worked as Skilled Electrical skilled Labor in NOMAC plants for a minimum of 4 years. Minimum 4 years in the same position OR Worked as Skilled Electrical Skilled Labor in NOMAC plants for a minimum of 4 years. ISO9001, 14001, OHSAS 18001 awareness/working knowledge is preferred.

Execute all Preventive, Corrective and Condition based maintenance activities, annual outage and overhauling work activities on plant equipment with strict adherence to safety. Work both independently and in a team environment. Safely perform tasks in non-ideal environments such as confined spaces, working at heights and around chemicals. Practice and enforce safe work practices including respiratory protection, elevated work platforms, fall protection, lockout/tag-out, fire protection systems, electrical safety, confined space entry, PPE. Understand, identify, classify and dispose of waste. Understand environmental and health impacts of chemicals used in the plant. Know firefighting equipment and first aid measures. Basic knowledge of Power/Water plant operational activities. Basic computer skills.
