QC Inspector - Mechanical - Project

SECTION I: Job Summary The QC Inspector – Mechanical performs inspection and testing of mechanical equipment installation activities to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and applicable codes and standards. SECTION II: Job Analysis Duties & Responsibilities · Perform in-process and final inspections on mechanical equipment installation works (pumps, vessels, packages, structural skids). · Verify equipment installation, alignment, and grouting against approved drawings and vendor specifications. · Witness mechanical running tests, alignment checks, and equipment box-up activities per the ITP. · Verify materials and equipment against material certificates, vendor data, and specifications. · Record inspection results and raise Non-Conformance Reports as required. · Coordinate hold points and inspections with client/third-party inspectors. · Maintain inspection records, checklists, and daily QC reports. · Verify calibration status of measuring and test equipment used on site. · Support punch-list generation and verification of closure for mechanical works. · Ensure work fronts comply with approved method statements and mechanical equipment standards. · Support preparation of quality documentation for mechanical handover dossiers.
