• Accountable for continuous clinical education and quality patient outcomes • embedded in ASH Nursing Professional Practice Model (PPM) and care delivery system. • Responsible for promoting and complying with ethical principles based on the • American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics, KSA law, and regulations • for nursing and ethical principles in the hospital. • Practice by abiding by AH, JCI, and CBAHI, including but not limited to • International Patient Safety goals and national and international standards. • Promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process and • providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families. • Provides quality patient care and carries out orders, complying with the policy • and procedures of the hospital. • Accountable for nursing actions, which include, but are not limited to: identifying • patterns of human responses to actual or potential health problems amenable to • a nursing regimen; executing a nursing regimen through selection, performance, • management, and evaluation of nursing action; assessing health status to • provide nursing care, health counseling, and teaching; administering • medications, treatments, and executing regimens prescribed by physicians; • teaching, administering, supervising, delegating, and evaluating nursing practice. ▪ Collaborates with the patient and other healthcare team members to develop and update a care plan based on the patient's physical, psychological changes, and age related needs. ▪ Provides total direct nursing care, which consists of the plan of care and needs of the patients concerning the patient's privacy, dignity, personal preference, and culture. ▪ Assess, monitor, and document patients’ physical and psychological status. ▪ Carry out the physician's orders, review nursing and medical orders for accuracy, and ensure they were carried out on time. ▪ Prepare, administer, and document all medications as prescribed by the physician. ▪ Maintain accountability for narcotic and controlled drugs. ▪ Responds appropriately during clinical emergencies, begins emergency resuscitative efforts, and supports code responses. ▪ Sets up equipment and assists physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. ▪ Provide accurate and timely handovers during shift changes. ▪ Educates patients and their families by emphasizing the importance of following prescribed treatment plans and supports families in managing the patient's psychological needs. ▪ Facilitate client’s discharge process ensuring availability of discharge medication, appointment, and special requirements. ▪ Ensure a safe, clean, and organized setting for patients, families, visitors, and staff. ▪ Participates in the presentation of patient care conferences. ▪ Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit-based audits. ▪ Develop and sustain a strong working relationship with fellow healthcare team members. ▪ Maintains infection control and safety awareness functions as needed and takes corrective action when necessary. ▪ Participate in disaster drills and emergency codes. ▪ Identify, report, and follow up on patient safety incidents. ▪ Uses verbal and non-verbal communication that shows respect for the patient, family, visitors, and staff. ▪ Capable of initiating and maintaining life support measures (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP) (if trained). ▪ Knowledgeable in the function of the crash cart and defibrillator. ▪ Maintains attendance and observes working hours, starting times, lunch periods, breaks, prayer times, etc. ▪ Participate and lead in nursing councils. ▪ Meets the additional requirements for specialized units as specified at the time of hire. ▪ Provide personalized coordinated care, support and treatment for patients and families. ▪ Treat people with dignity, compassion, and respect. ▪ Involve patients, families and caregivers by providing them with education ▪ and resources for offering optimal support to promote recovery. Requirements: BS in Nursing Registration in country of origin Preferably 1-2 years in clinical nursing ▪ Life Support Training Courses ▪ Proper, effective and compassionate communication. ▪ Ability to work independently within the hospital. ▪ Excellent verbal and written communication skills ▪ Enthusiastic, enduring, and willing to work for extra hours ▪ Multi-tasking, good listening skills, and verbal communication. ▪ Computer skills preferred. ▪ Demonstrate knowledge and completed competencies related to their department.
