Ultrasound Technologist

Job Purpose / Objective Perform ultrasound procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention and produce high quality images on appropriate archival systems. Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities - Perform ultrasound imaging and related procedures in all areas of ultrasound - Record patient images via appropriate archival media, transfer images as needed. - Participate in performance improvement activities in the department. - Maintain appropriate quality control records and participates in routine equipment testing and maintenance. - Review clinical information regarding patient along with images with the Radiologist. - Print images onto appropriate media. - Provide permanent data of procedures as required or requested. - Maintain departmental standards related to Quality Assurance controls. - Train new staff on the ultrasound system and department procedures. - Practice sterile techniques maintain aseptic conditions and use universal precautions at all times. - Perform first aid on patients until further assistance can be obtained to maintain patient's health. - Adhere to on-call, holiday, and weekend schedules as prepared by the manager. - Exercise strict patient confidentiality. - Ensure adherence to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures, KSA and local requirements, and JCIA & CBAHI standards. - Provide patient and family education as per the needs. - Participate in routine maintenance, diagnoses malfunctions, and make minor repairs on radiologic equipment, arranging for repairs as needed - Complete forms and maintains records, logs and reports of work performed. - Participate in person-centered care initiatives undertaken by HMG. - Enrich patient experience with compassion, respect and dignity. - Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his knowledge, skills and abilities. Requirements: Education/ Professional Qualification Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Technology/ Ultrasonography Experience At least Two (2) years of experience in a Hospital Setup.
