Duct Fabricator

We are looking for a skilled Duct Fabricator to join our MEP/construction team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in HVAC duct fabrication and installation, with a strong understanding of ductwork materials, fabrication techniques, measurements, drawings and site requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and preparing ductwork according to approved drawings and specifications while maintaining quality, accuracy and safety standards. Key Responsibilities - Fabricate HVAC ductwork according to approved drawings, dimensions and specifications. - Read and interpret HVAC/MEP drawings and duct layouts. - Take accurate measurements and calculate required duct dimensions and materials. - Cut, bend, form and assemble GI sheet metal for ductwork. - Fabricate different types of duct sections, fittings, bends, elbows, transitions and other components. - Ensure proper dimensions, alignment and finishing of fabricated ductwork. - Install and assemble ductwork at project sites when required. - Coordinate with HVAC technicians, installers, supervisors and site engineers. - Ensure duct fabrication is completed according to project specifications and required quality standards. - Inspect fabricated ductwork for dimensional accuracy and defects. - Minimize material wastage through accurate measurement and cutting. - Maintain proper use and care of fabrication tools and equipment. - Follow site safety procedures and use appropriate PPE. - Maintain a clean and organized fabrication/work area. - Report material requirements, fabrication issues and technical discrepancies to the supervisor.
