The Water Leak Engineer is responsible for water leak diagnosis, leak path identification, root cause analysis, and issue reproduction at AMP2 KSA. Working in a challenging and fast-paced environment, the engineer leads Water Leak Technicians and collaborates with cross-functional teams throughout the entire product lifecycle. The role focuses on proactively protecting Lucid production lines from water ingress and sealing-related quality issues through effective investigation, testing, containment, and corrective actions. The Water Leak Engineer works closely with Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Quality, Design Engineering, and Repair Teams to ensure vehicle quality, durability, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: - Lead Water Leak investigation and resolution activities at Lucid AMP2 KSA. - Ensure safety requirements and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are followed in the work area. - Maintain a safe and clean work environment in accordance with 6S standards. - Execute water leak testing protocols and conduct leak diagnosis, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis to identify leak paths and confirm causes. - Support Manufacturing Quality in resolving water leak issues identified during Pre- Delivery Inspection and Lucid Customer Product Audits (LCPA). - Perform water leak tests using approved methods and equipment, including rain booths, water spray systems, and validation tools. - Support water leak root cause investigations for field and customer-reported issues. - Lead root cause analysis and validation of corrective actions and countermeasures for water leak concerns. - Document water leak test procedures, findings, and investigation results. - Maintain water leak testing equipment, tools, and inspection devices in good working condition. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve vehicle sealing performance and water leak prevention. - Ensure strict compliance with Lucid Motors Quality Procedures and standards. - Conduct water leak assessments on vehicles and sub-systems as required during launch and mass production phases. - Provide feedback and support manufacturing process improvements related to water leak prevention and sealing quality. - Support repair development and validation for water leak issues from launch through mass production. - Train quality and production team members on water leak inspection methods, testing procedures, and acceptance criteria. - Lead water leak validation activities using environmental chambers, rain test facilities, and vehicle validation tests as required. Skills : - Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, vehicle drawings, and body sealing specifications. - Hands-on experience in water leak testing, leak detection methods, and troubleshooting techniques. - Knowledge of water leak testing methodologies, including rain booth testing, water spray testing, flood testing, and environmental chamber validation. - Familiarity with vehicle sealing systems, body closures, glazing, weatherstrips, body joints, and water management paths. - Good verbal and written communication skills. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause investigation abilities. - Cross-functional team player with the ability to work effectively with Quality, Manufacturing, Design, and Repair teams. - Creative, energetic, self-motivated, and highly organized. - Experience using diagnostic tools and documentation systems for defect tracking and corrective action management. - Ability to validate corrective actions and support continuous improvement initiatives related to water leak prevention and vehicle sealing performance. Minimum Qualifications: - BSc/master’s degree in mechanical engineering discipline is required. - 2-5 years of experience within a greenfield OEM is a must. - Minimum 3 years of experience in the same role is a Must. - Good verbal, written, a
