Siemens Smart Infrastructure is looking for an Application Engineer for the Center of Competence of Electrical Products business unit to help us re-imagine the world by finding solutions and making the world a smarter place for tomorrow. Your Role – International, Challenging and Future-Oriented! - In this role you will be responsible for the design, engineering and application development activities of Low Voltage Switchgears. Supporting Siemens’ partners across the Middle East Region. - In Your daily work you will oversee following tasks and responsibilities: - Analyze tender documents and customer requirements to develop compliant and competitive proposals for these projects. - Preparation and submission of tenders through Siemens panel builders for low voltage electrification package of the key projects in the middle east region. - Prepare compliance statements according to project specifications. - Create project designs and develop the best configuration (technically and commercially) according to customer requirement & based on the available portfolio. - Conduct detailed design and engineering activities for low voltage projects under execution (preparing manufacturing drawings, BoM to be ordered, network architectures and schematic & wiring diagrams). - Provide network calculations such as load flow analysis, voltage drop, short circuit and discrimination studies. - Support Siemens partners in developing certain application/configuration to fulfill the project’s requirement. - Develop selection guidelines and quotation tools to support our partners. - Provide technical support and guidance to Siemens partners during the tendering & execution phases. - Participate in and develop technical documents to raise awareness of Siemens LV Switchgears. - Standardization of proven concepts and solutions to replicate them as ready-made packages. - Identify customer business needs and translate them into feature requirements. - Participate in customer presentations and negotiations. - Follow-up with the Technical Stakeholders to ensure successful project realization. - Work closely with Sales Team to ensure proper coordination and alignment Your Qualifications and Skills - You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering field from reputable university or college. - Ideally, you have strong experience in low voltage power distribution systems & motor control centers and related international standards & regulations. - Experience in engineering, design or tendering of LV Switchgears - We are looking for solid work experience up to 10 years in engineering, design or tendering & proposals, preferably in a multinational company. - You have great experience with Software such as EPLAN, AutoCAD and Revit MEP. - Our Ideal candidate has an advanced Analytical thinking and respective Problem-solving skills - You will impress us with your outstanding Presentation & Negotiation skills - You enjoy working in multicultural, diverse, working environment. - Fluent written and spoken English and Arabic. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering. Solid experience in low voltage power distribution systems and motor control centers, and related international standards & regulations. Experience in engineering, design or tendering of LV Switchgears. Up to 10 years of engineering, design or tendering & proposals experience (preferably in a multinational company).
