Manager, Internal Controls - ADNOC Drilling

Manages the development, implementation and provision of support of the IT Application systems for the finance function across ADNOC and its Group Companies, ensuring that IT use is optimized in support of the strategic direction of the Group. Acts as the financial systems and technology competence for Finance Directorate during the evaluation and selection of financial applications for all ADNOC Group Companies. Plans, promotes, implements and monitors financial and finance related IT applications that satisfies ADNOC requirements. • Establishes and maintains ADNOC’s overall financial systems strategy and application plans in line with ADNOC’s policies and strategies and oversees its implementation throughout the Group. • Provides group-wide support in strategic/planning, system selection, implementation and financial applications that provide opportunities and cost saving. • Conducts feasibility studies on ADNOC’s financial systems requirements and recommends appropriate applications and solutions that provide opportunities and cost saving benefits to financial systems users, and to management. • Manages all aspects of implementing the financial application such as, development, customization, testing, pre-conversion process, user training and final commissioning in liaison with the IT function/Consultants. • Coordinates and prepares financial systems requirements and develops system design documents that accommodate all user requirements and help in the smooth implementation of financial applications. • Monitors the implementation of financial systems and ensures that all existing systems are operating efficiently and effectively based on daily, weekly and monthly scheduled jobs and that all system interfaces and reports are carried out and produced at the appropriate time. • Provides proper documentation of ADNOC’s approved financial systems, including user manuals and ensures that they are maintained up-to-date and adhere to ADNOC standards across all the Group Companies. • Ensures maintenance of up-to-date documentation of ADNOC financial systems and acts as Security Administrator for all financial applications. Maintains and monitors user’s support of finance server and all related microcomputer based systems. • Ensures that system access is given only to authorized personnel and that data integrity is maintained at the levels established by management. • Ensures all user requirements, challenges and/or issues are being addressed, properly handled, followed up and resolved. Ensures proper functioning and accuracy of system’s output through Integrity, Interface and User reports, and proper scheduling of jobs. • Coordinates all system aspects in the ADNOC Management Information System within ADNOC and Group Companies. Controls and carries out the Group consolidation in the system. Ensures the completeness and quality of systems delivered to Finance Directorate. Bachelor Degree in Finance, Computer Science, Accounting or equivalent 12 years of experience in accounting, finance and in development and implementation of financial systems, preferably in the Oil & Gas Industry Professional Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA) preferred Work Environment A/C environment, could be exposed to the prevailing weather conditions like heat, humidity and dust during occasional site visits. Bachelor Degree in Finance, Computer Science, Accounting or equivalent. 12 years of experience in accounting, finance and in development and implementation of financial systems, preferably in the Oil & Gas Industry. Professional Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA) preferred.
