There are a number of entities and institutions operating under its umbrella, including Port Rashid, Jebel Ali Port, Al Hamriya Port, which are managed by Dubai Ports Authority, in addition to the Department of Planning and Development - Trakhees, the Dubai Maritime Authority and the Office of the Marine Agency for Wooden Dhows, as well as the investment arm and security arm of the corporation, represented by Investment Department and Security Department.Job Description REGULATORY COMPLIANCE AND AML/CFTConduct comprehensive risk assessments of registered legal persons by evaluating ownership and control structures, business activities, jurisdictions, regulatory history and other relevant financial crime risk indicators.Independently review complex Ultimate Beneficial Ownership (UBO) declarations, corporate structures and supporting documentation to assess the adequacy, accuracy and currency of beneficial ownership information.Investigate material UBO discrepancies, complex or opaque ownership structures, AML/CFT red flags and potential regulatory breaches, documenting findings and conclusions and escalating significant concerns through approved channels.Plan and conduct risk-based desk reviews, compliance inspections and verification activities, including defining the scope of reviews, assessing evidence, documenting findings and recommending appropriate corrective or enforcement action.Assess identified compliance gaps and recommend proportionate controls, risk mitigation measures, remediation plans, administrative actions or referrals in accordance with applicable legislation and the Registrar’s authority.Manage complex compliance cases and monitor the implementation of corrective actions, ensuring that identified deficiencies are addressed within prescribed timescales and unresolved or significant matters are appropriately escalated.Prepare and review compliance reports, risk analyses, management dashboards, regulatory submissions and information required to support national risk assessments and AML/CFT effectiveness assessments.Coordinate the timely and appropriate exchange of regulatory information with competent authorities and relevant internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with applicable confidentiality, data protection and authorisation requirements.Provide technical guidance and awareness on UBO, AML/CFT and related regulatory obligations, including supporting training sessions, responding to complex enquiries and providing guidance to junior team members.Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the regulatory compliance framework, including risk assessment models, monitoring plans, policies, procedures and controls, as well as the future oversight of sanctions, proliferation financing, fraud, anti-bribery and corruption requirements, where mandated.
