The Solution Architect – Digital Transformation is a hands-on, mid-level architecture role responsible for designing and delivering solution architectures for specific systems, integrations, and digital transformation projects within the hospital. The role translates enterprise architecture standards, principles, and roadmaps set by the Chief Architect / Enterprise Architecture function into detailed, implementable solution designs that support clinical, operational, and patient-experience objectives, while complying with Saudi healthcare regulatory requirements. 1. Solution Architecture and Design - Design solution architectures for assigned projects, systems, and integrations, aligned with enterprise architecture standards and roadmaps. - Produce solution design documents, technical specifications, data flow diagrams, and integration designs. - Evaluate design options and recommend solutions that balance functionality, performance, security, scalability, and cost. - Support proof-of-concept and pilot initiatives for emerging technologies such as cloud, AI/ML, automation, and analytics. 2. Healthcare Applications and Clinical Systems - Contribute solution designs for EHR/EMR, ERP, LIS, RIS/PACS, pharmacy, patient engagement, telemedicine, and revenue-cycle platforms. - Work with application, clinical, and infrastructure teams to design integrations between clinical and business systems. - Support assessment of application components for modernization, consolidation, or replacement, under guidance from senior architects. 3. Interoperability and Integration - Design and implement integration solutions using HL7, FHIR, DICOM, and relevant national interoperability standards. - Support integration with national and sector-level Saudi health platforms as directed by the enterprise architecture function. - Apply approved API, messaging, identity, terminology, and master-data patterns in solution designs. 4. Saudi Regulatory and Compliance Support - Design solutions that comply with applicable Saudi healthcare regulations and organizational architecture policies. - Apply data governance, privacy, and localization requirements consistent with the Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL). - Incorporate applicable National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) controls into solution designs. Support compliance activities related to CBAHI and other hospital-specific regulatory requirements. 5. Data, AI and Digital Innovation Support - Contribute to solution-level data architecture for clinical, operational, and financial use cases. - Support the design of data platforms, analytics, and AI/ML solutions in line with enterprise data standards. - Help ensure AI-enabled solutions incorporate appropriate governance, privacy, and clinical-safety considerations. 6. Architecture Governance Participation - Participate in the architecture governance and review process led by the Chief Architect. - Present solution designs and technical approaches for review and approval. - Maintain solution-level documentation in the architecture repository and decision log. - Flag architectural risks, technical debt, and deviations from standards for senior review. 7. Vendor and Technical Evaluation Support - Support RFPs, solution evaluations, and vendor technical assessments under the direction of senior architecture and procurement leadership. - Evaluate vendor solution designs against healthcare, security, interoperability, and Saudi regulatory requirements. - Assist in defining technical and contractual requirements related to integration, support, and data ownership. 8. Project Delivery - Work directly with project teams to ensure solutions are implemented according to approved architecture and design. - Provide technical design support through discovery, build, testing, and go-live phases. - Troubleshoot solution-level design and integration issues during implementation and post-go-live stabilization. 9. Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing - Collaborate with enterprise architects, application teams, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and clinical stakeholders. - Share solution design knowledge and reusable patterns with the wider architecture and project teams. - Support the onboarding and technical guidance of junior architects and analysts as needed. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline. - 5–8 years of experience in solution, technical, or systems architecture, with exposure to healthcare or hospital environments preferred. - At least 2–3 years of hands-on experience designing solution architectures for enterprise applications or integrations. - Working knowledge of hospital information systems, EHR/EMR platforms, clinical applications, or ERP systems. - Working knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR, and DICOM. - Familiarity with Saudi healthcare, data, and cybersecurity regulatory requirements. - Strong analyti
