Finance & Business Support Manager - voco Sharjah (Pre-Opening)

We’re looking for a new Finance & Business Support Manager comfortable with balancing the books when it comes to managing the needs of owners, auditors and regulatory agencies while also monitoring and improving hotel profitability. A little taste of your day-to-day: Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be: • Lead the Finance & Business Support team and provide strategic financial guidance to the hotel leadership team. • Drive the annual budget, business plan, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes. • Deliver accurate monthly financial statements, management reports, and business performance analysis. • Monitor hotel performance through financial and operational KPIs, identifying risks and opportunities to improve profitability. • Ensure compliance with IHG policies, accounting standards, local tax regulations, and statutory requirements. • Oversee the hotel's accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management. • Strengthen financial controls, governance, and risk management practices to protect company assets. • Partner with department heads to support commercial decisions, cost control initiatives, and operational improvements. • Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting. • Manage internal and external audits, ensuring all findings are addressed promptly. • Review contracts, procurement activities, and supplier agreements to ensure financial compliance and value for the business. • Drive process improvements, digital initiatives, and efficiencies across finance and business support
