The InterContinental Hotels Group® at Dubai Festival City consists of four hotels. These include the luxury and lifestyle brand InterContinental, the lavish long-stay InterContinental Residence Suites, the premium Crowne Plaza, and the essentials Holiday Inn & Suites. A little taste of your day-to-day: People • Clearly and effectively communicate hotel goals and strategies to all levels of the hotel team. • Oversee the day-to-day operations and assignments of the hotel staff; assist the Area General Manager in the development and communication of departmental strategies and goals. • Work within the company’s Human Resource framework to ensure the departmental performance of staff is productive. Duties include: • Planning for future staffing needs. • Recruiting in line with company guidelines. • Preparing detailed induction programmes for new staff. • Maintaining a comprehensive, current and guest focused set of departmental standards and procedures and oversees their implementation. • Ensuring training needs analysis of teams is carried out, and training programmes are designed and implemented to meet needs. • Develop your team and improve their performance through coaching and feedback, and create performance and development goals - recognise good performance. • Train your team to make sure they deliver with compliance, to our standards and have the tools they need to work efficiently. • Coaching, counselling and disciplining staff, providing constructive feedback to enhance performance. • Drive Nationalisation efforts by mentoring and integrating local talent, fostering their development, and ensuring compliance with nationalisation goals. • Establish/maintain a succession plan • Drive a great working environment for teams to thrive – connect departments to create sense of one team. • Communicate and enforce policies and procedures. • As a Hotel Manager, you will empower colleagues to act with integrity by fostering a Speak Up culture, creating an environment where they feel supported to ask questions, raise concerns, and adhere to the Code of Conduct. You will ensure all required training is completed and promptly address any suspected misconduct. Financial • Support the Area General Manager in the development, implementation and monitoring of strategic and operational plans for the hotel. Provide regular direction and manage hotel operations for all departments. • You will drive performance in key metrics, such as Guest Love, GSI, Loyalty Recognition, Loyalty Enrolment Efficiency, and others. • Monitor and report variances against budget and control labour costs and other expenses. • Ensure that rebates and contracts for residences are tracked, properly documented, and any concerns are communicated in a timely manner. • Make recommendations for capital improvements to enhance the assets of the hotel and/or company and brand loyalty.

Work within the HR framework to ensure departmental staff performance is productive, including: planning for future staffing needs, recruiting per guidelines, creating detailed induction programs, maintaining current guest-focused standards and procedures, conducting training needs analysis and designing/implementing training programs, developing and coaching staff, delivering performance feedback, ensuring compliance with standards, training completion, and addressing misconduct. Develop your team and improve performance through coaching, set development goals, and recognise good performance. Train teams to meet standards and operate with compliant tools. Provide coaching, counselling, and discipline as needed. Drive nationalisation efforts by mentoring local talent, ensuring compliance with nationalisation goals, and establishing/maintaining a succession plan. Foster a great working environment and promote a one-team culture across departments. Enforce policies and procedures and uphold a Speak Up culture with proper training and conduct. Financial focus includes supporting the Area General Manager in strategic/operational hotel plans, driving key metrics (Guest Love, GSI, Loyalty Recognition, Loyalty Enrolment Efficiency, etc.), monitoring variances against budget and controlling labour costs and expenses, tracking rebates and contracts for residences, and recommending capital improvements to enhance assets and brand loyalty.
