Overview Of The Role: - The HSSE Manager is responsible for implementing, coordinating, and managing Health, Safety, Security & Environmental operations across all Al-Futtaim Automotive facilities. The role involves ensuring compliance with government regulations, conducting regular site visits, and maintaining safe and comfortable working conditions. The manager will also lead initiatives to improve HSSE standards and achieve international certifications. What You Will Do: Loss Prevention - Increase HSSE related hazard/gap identification & reporting by 65% through regular inspections on all assigned business units. - Achieve a 45% reduction in preventable incidents by assigning appropriate action plans and implementing corrective and preventative measures. - Visit all assigned locations at least once every week to proactively inspect and report hazards and operational safety gaps. - Audit assigned sites in the 1st and 6th month of the year to assess compliance status and improvement of HSSE standards. - Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and propose corrective/preventative control measures. - Ensure fire safety and security systems are inspected daily, with any gaps escalated to FM and AMC vendors. Initiation & Leadership of Change - Conceptualize and implement an HSSE oriented initiative to drive improvements in compliance, environment, and employee welfare. - Ensure all sites have first aid and fire warden trained staff as per local regulations. - Coordinate emergency response plans, procedures, and resources for site-specific incidents. - Drive improvements for ISO Certification, conducting ISO audits in the 8th month. - Collaborate for 3rd party access control and work permits to maintain a 'Zero Accidents' record. - Lead training and awareness campaigns to enhance HSSE knowledge among employees. Regulatory Compliance - Stay informed of local and federal regulations to ensure compliance and avoid legal/financial penalties. - Create and maintain a central 'Legal Register' reviewed quarterly for each emirate. - Facilitate the acquisition of all mandatory permits and licenses for assigned sites. - Conduct surprise visits to verify security personnel presence and performance. - Develop competency in security manpower by achieving a minimum increase of 50% in competency score to reach 75% and above. Team Management - Track team attendance and conduct weekly meetings to review progress and challenges. - Conduct monthly performance reviews of officers to ensure objectives are met. - Ensure regular training and development of officers in HSE rules and regulations. - Manage team leaves effectively to promote a healthy work-life balance. - Obtain and provide regular feedback to maintain a high level of team engagement. Required Skills To Be Successful: - Strong knowledge of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment standards. - Proficiency in incident reporting and conducting thorough investigations. - Ability to manage projects and processes efficiently. - Effective communication skills, including public speaking and professional presentations. What Qualifies You For The Role: - Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or relevant field. - NEBOSH International General Certificate or equivalent certification. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in roles related to Health & Safety, Security, Police, or similar fields. - Experience with incident reporting and investigation, emergency preparedness, and team management.
