About the Job: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Cost Controller to join the Finance team in Jumeirah Olhahali Island. The main duties and responsibilities of this role include: • Assist in monitoring and controlling food, beverage, and operational costs. • Verify and process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. • Reconcile daily inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, transfers, and stock adjustments. • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and investigate stock variances. • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cost control reports for management. • Ensure all purchases and inventory movements are properly recorded in the accounting system. • Review menu recipes and standard costing to maintain accurate food and beverage costs. • Coordinate with the Purchasing, Receiving, Stores, Kitchen, and Finance teams to ensure effective inventory control. • Monitor wastage, spoilage, and stock usage, and recommend cost-saving initiatives. • Support month-end closing activities, including inventory valuation and cost-related journal entries. • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and audit requirements. • Maintain accurate documentation and filing of all cost control records. • Assist in implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and cost management. • Perform other duties assigned by the Cost Controller or Finance Manager. About You: The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications: • Diploma or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, hospitality management, or a related field. • 1–3 years of experience in cost control, inventory, or finance, preferably in the hospitality industry. • Knowledge of inventory management and cost accounting principles. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/POS systems.
