Auto Mechanic

Job Description

Requirements

• - Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on vehicles.
• - Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment.
• - Repair and replace faulty mechanical components and parts as required.
• - Perform repairs on engines, braking systems, suspension, steering, cooling systems, and other vehicle components.
• - Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults and carry out effective repairs.
• - Follow company policies, manufacturer standards, and technical procedures for all maintenance and repair activities.
• - Complete assigned work in accordance with repair orders and technical instructions.
• - Conduct quality checks to ensure all repairs are completed to the required standards before vehicle release.
• - Maintain tools, equipment, and the workshop in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• - Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and procedures.
• - Report any additional repair requirements or spare parts needs to the Workshop Supervisor or Manager.
• - Complete assigned jobs within the required time while meeting productivity and efficiency targets.
• - Participate in technical training programs and stay updated on new vehicle technologies and repair procedures.
• - Work effectively as part of the workshop team to achieve operational and customer service objectives.
• Qualifications and Experience
• - Diploma or Technical Certificate in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• - Previous experience in vehicle maintenance and repair, preferably within an authorized dealership or automotive service center.
• - Good knowledge of modern vehicle systems and diagnostic equipment.
• - Ability to read and understand technical manuals, repair orders, and service instructions.
• - Basic knowledge of automotive electrical and electronic systems.
• - Valid driving license is preferred.
