The Associate - Landscape Bid Specialist plays a critical role in driving business growth and winning work across the Landscape Architecture practice. The role combines strategic pursuit planning, capture management, market intelligence, commercial acumen, and proposal leadership to identify opportunities, strengthen client relationships, and support successful project acquisition. Working closely with Landscape Leadership, Client Account Managers, and multidisciplinary teams, the position leads the development of compelling technical and commercial submissions, supports pricing and positioning strategies, evaluates project risks and profitability, and contributes to the achievement of regional growth objectives. The role requires a proactive, results-oriented professional with strong communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, leadership, and commercial skills, along with a solid understanding of the AECOM pursuit and bid process. Roles and Responsibilities Lead the identification, qualification, capture, and pursuit of strategic opportunities across priority markets and clients. Develop and implement bid and capture strategies that support regional growth objectives and AECOM's business plans. Drive Go/No-Go evaluations, opportunity assessments, and win strategy development in accordance with AECOM's pursuit process. Collaborate with Client Account Managers, Operations, Technical Leads, and Leadership teams to position AECOM effectively for upcoming opportunities. Lead the preparation of high-quality technical and commercial proposals, presentations, and interview submissions. Coordinate multidisciplinary pursuit teams to ensure compliant, competitive, and differentiated bid responses. Support pricing strategy, commercial positioning, and cost proposal development to maximize win probability and profitability. Build and maintain strong client relationships, understand client drivers, and communicate AECOM's value proposition effectively. Conduct market intelligence, competitor analysis, and pipeline tracking to identify emerging opportunities and market trends. Monitor and report pursuit performance, win rates, pipeline health, and key business development metrics. Mentor and guide bid coordinators and business development staff, promoting best practices and continuous improvement. Undertake commercial benchmarking and comparative analysis of new, active, and secured opportunities to assess project scale, fee competitiveness, margin performance, and strategic value, providing insights to support go/no-go decisions and winning pursuit strategies. Facilitate pursuit reviews, lessons learned, and knowledge sharing across business lines and geographies. Support strategic growth initiatives, framework agreements, key account programs, and major project positioning efforts. Contribute to leadership discussions regarding market priorities, resource allocation, and business growth strategies. Core Bid Management Skills Bid Lifecycle Management: Demonstrated experience leading and coordinating the full bid lifecycle, from opportunity identification and RFQ/RFP evaluation through proposal development, review, interview preparation, and final submission. Proposal Development & Technical Writing: Strong technical writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to develop compelling, client-focused proposals, presentations, and pursuit materials that clearly articulate value and differentiation. Multidisciplinary Team Leadership: Proven ability to coordinate and lead diverse pursuit teams across landscape architecture, urban design, planning, engineering, and commercial functions to deliver high-quality submissions within demanding deadlines. Tender Compliance & Governance: Strong understanding of tender requirements, proposal governance, QA/QC procedures, and public and private sector procurement processes, ensuring compliant, accurate, and competitive submissions. undefined
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Urban Design, Master Planning, or a related discipline. Minimum 5 to 7+ years of experience within leading landscape architecture, design, engineering, or multidisciplinary consultancies in the GCC, with a proven track record in bid coordination, proposal development, and successful project pursuits. Strong understanding of landscape architecture principles, project delivery stages, construction methodologies, and project scoping, with the ability to interpret complex client briefs, site constraints, technical documentation, and multidisciplinary design inputs. Commercially aware with experience supporting fee proposals, resource planning, and comparative analysis of new, ongoing, and secured bids, including project scale, fee performance, and market positioning. Familiarity with UAE authority requirements, permitting processes, and sustainability frameworks, including Dubai Municipality regulations, DMT guidelines, and Estidama/Pearl Rating System requirements, is advantageous.
