Aquatics Training Supervisor

Rixos Premium Qetaifan Island North Responsible for the overall safety of all Guest and Colleagues within and while visiting Meryal, with a Commitment to Zero Drownings and the Loss of Life Due to Drowning Coordinates with the Aquatics Director and Managers on the overall Operation and Performance of Meryal, with a specific focus on the training aspect of the Aquatics Department. Develop, establish, implement and continuously deliver the following as it relates to the Aquatics Department: Training standards and requirements – Reflective of initial training for all new hire lifeguards and management colleagues On-going training standards and requirements – Reflective of all renewal training inline with ILTP renewals, up-grade courses and dispatch courses Audit and Accountability Requirements – This includes the daily audits to be conducted during operational hours reflective of the below: Visual / V.A.T / Individual Skills (CPR / AR / FBAO) / Team Skills / Team Scenarios / Attraction Dispatch Growth and development programs inline with progression with the Aquatics Department Recognition and reward programs reflective of training programs, professional growth and development success within the Aquatics Department Areas in which initial training, ongoing training, auditing, accountability, growth, development, recognition and performance management will be utilized include but are not limited to the following: ILTP Lifeguarding (Shallow Water & Special Facilities), Guest Service and Guest Engagement, Leadership , First Aid / Basic Life Support , Park Operations , Attraction Operations, On the Job Development (Internal Courses related to the Job Role) , Off the Job Development (Internal Courses not related to the Job Role) Working alongside the Director of Aquatics towards key milestones and KPIs in line with Lifeguard performance specific to the training team. Additionally -adhere to all responsibilities and performance expectations of the Supervisor, Aquatics

6 Years Industry Minimum with 3 Years Middle East / International Work 3 Years Minimum Lifeguard Training in a certified trainer role (ILTP Instructor or Equivalent) Waterpark or Theme Park or Cruise Line Management Pre-Opening Experience Previously Held Senior Management Level Positions (Assistant Manager / Supervisor / Team Leader)* (Not Lifeguard) Operation of Specialized Attractions such as, but not limited to, Wave Pools, Surf Pools, Zip Lines, White Water Rafting, Ocean Front KPI and Appraisal Implementation & Management Expense Budget and Revenue Management ILTP Instructor or Instructor Trainer / SGE 1,2,3 Star Instructor Certification Direct Management of Leadership Team / Jr Management Indirect Management of a Team +200 Colleagues Professional Knowledge & Use of key systems used within the Water Theme Park Professional Understanding and Communication of English (Written and Spoken)
