Synopsis Lead solution architecture for the Operations & Guest value stream, providing direction for scalable, resilient, and efficient operational capabilities. Design end-to-end architectures that connect operational processes, frontline teams, enterprise systems, data platforms, and digital channels. Enable real-time operational visibility, automation, decision-making, and continuous improvement through modern technologies and architecture frameworks. Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, data, AI, cybersecurity, integration, and technology standards. Act as the architecture bridge between Operations stakeholders, product teams, delivery teams, and technology platforms. Accountabilities Define and govern the end-to-end solution architecture for operational capabilities and transformation initiatives. Design scalable architectures for core operational domains, including flight operations, Technical, Training, Networks Operations etc as applicable. Architect integrations between operational systems other enterprise applications and platforms aswell as third-party solution etc. Define integration patterns using APIs, events, messaging, microservices, and batch processing according to business and technical needs. Enable real-time operational monitoring and decisioning through event-driven architectures, operational data stores, dashboards, alerts, and workflow automation. Ensure operational data is accurate, governed, secure, and available for reporting, analytics, AI, and automation use cases. Partner with Operations teams to translate business priorities, process improvements, and operational pain points into practical technology roadmaps. Assess vendor products and guide implementation choices to ensure fit with enterprise architecture principles, interoperability, scalability, and total cost of ownership. Provide architectural direction to product managers, business analysts, delivery teams, developers, and vendors through solution design, architecture reviews, and technical assurance. Ensure solutions meet requirements for resilience, performance, availability, security, privacy, regulatory compliance, and business continuity. Maintain architecture documentation, including solution intents, capability maps, data flows, integration designs, reference architectures, and roadmaps. Identify and manage technical dependencies, architecture risks, technical debt, and opportunities for reuse and simplification across the Operations landscape. Evaluate emerging AI capabilities—including generative AI, machine learning, agentic workflows, and process intelligence—and recommend practical, secure, and scalable applications within Operations. Support agile delivery by defining architecture guardrails while enabling teams to deliver incremental business value. Collaborate across Digital, Data, Technology, Finance, Procurement, Customer, and operational functions to ensure solutions deliver measurable operational outcomes.
Education & Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline. 7+ years of experience in solution architecture, application architecture, enterprise architecture, or large-scale digital transformation programmes. Proven experience in airline operations architecture, with a strong understanding of airline operational processes and systems, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective technology solutions. Strong knowledge of API architectures, microservices, application integration, and integration patterns. Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure, including cloud-native application services, data services, streaming architectures, and AI technologies. Hands-on experience rapidly prototyping requirements and proofs of concept using AI, low-code tools, APIs, automation, and modern cloud technologies. Experience applying enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies, preferably TOGAF or an equivalent framework, to define target architectures, roadmaps, principles, and governance. Experience working within Agile and/or SAFe delivery environments. Strong stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to business and leadership stakeholders.
