We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Land Surveyor to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for performing precise surveying and setting-out activities for infrastructure and construction projects. You will ensure that all construction alignments, levels, and coordinates are established accurately and in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, and local standards. Perform topographic, control, and setting-out surveys for infrastructure projects, including pipelines, shafts, chambers, and associated civil structures Establish, verify, and maintain survey control points, benchmarks, and reference grids in coordination with project teams, applying approved drawings and coordinate systems in compliance with local requirements Check and verify horizontal and vertical alignments, pipe inverts, and structure locations, ensuring compliance with allowable tolerances prior to and during construction Conduct as-built surveys and verify the accuracy of contractors' as-built drawings and survey results prior to submission and certification Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date survey records, field books, and digital data files, ensuring full traceability of all survey operations Coordinate with contractors and supervision teams to resolve survey discrepancies or deviations on-site, and participate in pre-construction and progress meetings to provide input on survey status Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards during all field operations, particularly in challenging work environments Provide technical support during testing, commissioning, and handover stages by verifying final levels and coordinates Analyze survey data and prepare detailed reports with clear documentation and recommendations Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to ensure survey activities align with project objectives and timelines
**Education & Certifications:** Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related discipline Professional certification in surveying instruments and data management (preferred) Current knowledge of local standards and regulations (RTA, DM, DEWA standards) **Required Skills & Technical Proficiency:** Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and surveying software Hands-on experience with GPS, Total Station, and other modern surveying instruments Strong mathematical and computational skills with exceptional attention to precision and accuracy Proficient in data management and digital survey file organization Excellent report writing and technical documentation skills **Experience:** Proven experience performing topographic, control, and setting-out surveys Demonstrated experience with as-built survey verification and accuracy validation Field work experience in infrastructure or construction projects Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders and resolving technical discrepancies Knowledge of HSE compliance procedures in field operations **Core Competencies:** Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration Ability to work independently and as part of a team in dynamic environments Physical capability to perform fieldwork and operate surveying equipment Resilience and adaptability in managing project challenges Commitment to transparency and maintaining accurate records
