We're looking for a detail-oriented and professional Electrical Inspector to join our construction supervision team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will oversee electrical installations and systems on construction sites, ensuring full compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and project specifications. You will serve as a key quality assurance professional, conducting thorough inspections and providing technical guidance to construction teams while maintaining the highest standards of safety and workmanship. Conduct comprehensive inspections of electrical installations, systems, and equipment at various construction stages to verify compliance with applicable electrical codes and safety regulations Review electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to understand project requirements and identify potential compliance issues Perform detailed testing and analysis of electrical systems, including grounding, load calculations, circuit integrity, and safety mechanisms Document all inspection findings, test results, and non-conformances in organized reports and maintain accurate records for project files Communicate inspection results and corrective actions to project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders in a clear and professional manner Supervise electrical contractors and workers on-site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards throughout the installation process Identify code violations and safety hazards, then recommend corrective measures and timelines for resolution Collaborate with project teams to resolve technical issues and ensure timely project progression without compromising quality or safety Stay current with UAE electrical codes, international standards, and industry best practices Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior inspectors and construction personnel as needed
Minimum 6 years of professional experience in electrical inspection or electrical systems within construction environments Proven supervisory or leadership experience on construction sites Comprehensive knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations (NEC, IEC, and UAE-specific electrical requirements) Strong proficiency in electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, and safety systems Excellent organizational and documentation skills with the ability to maintain detailed inspection records and reports Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Proficiency in inspection software and tools; familiarity with CAD or electrical design software is preferred Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders Knowledge of construction site safety management and OSHA or equivalent safety standards Valid electrical inspection license or certification (preferred) Familiarity with project management principles and construction scheduling Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions in the field Physical capability to conduct on-site inspections in various weather conditions and challenging environments
