Purpose for the role: The Automation Officer is responsible for supporting the business in the automation, calculation, and visualization of key operational processes including agency incentive calculations, management dashboards, and digital web components. The role acts as a bridge between the business and technical developers, gathering requirements, coordinating build activities, and stepping in directly on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Tableau, and Salesforce reporting tasks when hands-on support is required. Accountabilities Agency Incentive Calculations: Gather and document business requirements to understand the structure of sales targets and incentive schemes across agency channels. Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications for the development team responsible for building calculations in Databricks. Coordinate with developers throughout the build cycle, validating logic against business intent and testing outputs for accuracy. Maintain documentation of incentive calculation rules, target structures, and version changes for audit and reference purposes. Troubleshoot discrepancies in calculated incentives and liaise with developers to resolve issues in a timely manner Dashboards & Data Visualization: Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports using Tableau to communicate performance, targets, and incentive outcomes to business stakeholders. Work with the business to define reporting requirements, key metrics, and preferred visualization formats. Ensure dashboards are accurate, refreshed on schedule, and presented in a clear, professional, and consistent format. Adobe Experience Manager ( AEM) Capture business requirements for changes and enhancements to the trade and corporate websites. Design and create ad-hoc AEM components as required, working within existing design and governance standards. Collaborate with the existing team of AEM developers on planned development work, providing input on requirements and design. Step in to independently investigate, correct, and resolve AEM issues or carry out development tasks when additional hands-on support is needed. Recommend improvements to website content, structure, and user experience based on business needs and industry best practice. Cross-Functional Co-ordination: Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical/development teams across Databricks, AEM, and Salesforce workstreams. Prioritize and manage multiple concurrent requests from different business areas. Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements across incentive calculation, reporting, and web content workflows.
Education & Experience Minimum of Five (5) years of experience with Power Apps/Power Automate and/or Working knowledge of Databricks, including familiarity with how calculation logic and data pipelines are structured (hands-on development not mandatory but a strong advantage). Understanding of agency/sales incentive structures, target-setting, and commission or incentive calculation concepts. Proficiency in Tableau for dashboard design and data visualization; strong PowerPoint skills for business presentations. Working knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), including component creation/customization and basic front-end troubleshooting (HTML, CSS, and some JavaScript exposure preferred). Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical specifications. Exposure to Salesforce, particularly report and dashboard configuration. Ability to work independently, prioritize competing requests, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Basic scripting or query skills (SQL, Python) to support validation of Databricks calculations
