Rigging Engineer / Sr. Rigging Engineer

Role Purpose To develop and implement rigging plans, provide technical expertise in lifting operations, ensure compliance with safety standards, and support site teams with engineered solutions that enable safe, efficient, and effective execution of heavy lifts. Key Accountabilities Operational Direction • Develop and review lifting plans and detailed lifting studies during FEED and execution phases. • Perform constructability reviews to optimize lifting methods and select appropriate equipment. • ​​​​​​​Coordinate lifting schedules with project teams, ensuring alignment with material deliveries and erection timelines. • ​​​​​​​Evaluate, approve, and enforce subcontractors’ Method Statements (MOS) for lifting activities. • ​​​​​​​Supervise and monitor the safe execution of all heavy lifting operations on site. • ​​​​​​​Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, project specifications, and international lifting standards. • ​​​​​​​Support tendering and proposal efforts by providing technical input on heavy lifting scopes. • Manage lifting operations for steel structure erection and equipment installation. • ​​​​​​​Interface with crane suppliers and logistics teams to guarantee timely mobilization and demobilization. • ​​​​​​​Maintain and control documentation, inspection records, and certifications for all lifting activities. • ​​​​​​​Execute onshore and offshore lifting operations across both brownfield and greenfield environments. • ​​​​​​​Apply and enforce international codes and standards (BS, ASME, API, LOLER) in all rigging activities. • ​​​​​​​Utilize lifting simulation software and AutoCAD to design and validate complex lifting plans. • ​​​​​​​Assess and optimize crane capacities, rigging techniques, and safety protocols to ensure flawless execution. Requirements & Qualifications Experience • 0-4 years’ related experience in roles within similar positions.
