Site Engineer - Infrastructure

We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer - Infrastructure to oversee and supervise day-to-day site activities for infrastructure construction projects. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience working with construction or contracting companies, with strong knowledge of roads, utilities, drainage, sewerage, and other civil infrastructure works. Key Responsibilities • Supervise and monitor daily site activities to ensure work is executed according to approved drawings, project specifications, and construction schedules. • Manage infrastructure works, including roadworks, earthworks, excavation, backfilling, grading, drainage, sewerage, stormwater networks, and wet and dry utilities. • Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, subcontractors, consultants, and client representatives to ensure smooth project execution. • Review approved shop drawings, IFC drawings, method statements, and project specifications before commencing site activities. • Ensure that all construction activities comply with approved designs, quality standards, HSE requirements, and relevant authority regulations. • Coordinate with surveyors for setting out, levels, coordinates, and alignment verification. • Monitor manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractor activities to achieve project milestones. • Conduct site inspections and coordinate with QA/QC engineers to ensure compliance with project quality requirements. • Arrange inspections with consultants and relevant authorities, and follow up on approvals and site observations. • Identify site issues, resolve technical problems, and coordinate with the engineering team for timely solutions. • Prepare daily progress reports, site records, inspection requests, and other required documentation. • Monitor work progress against project schedules and report delays or potential risks to the Project Manager. • Ensure proper implementation of HSE procedures and safe working practices at the site. • Coordinate testing and commissioning activities for infrastructure utility networks, where applicable. Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering. • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in infrastructure construction projects. • Candidates currently working with construction and contracting companies. • Hands-on experience in roads, drainage, sewerage, stormwater, water supply, and utility infrastructure works. • Experience in site execution, subcontractor management, consultant coordination, and quality inspections. • Good knowledge of construction drawings, technical specifications, method statements, and material approvals. • Familiarity with UAE construction standards and relevant authority requirements is preferred. Required Skills • Strong site supervision and execution capabilities. • Good technical knowledge of civil and infrastructure construction. • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
