Legal Counsel

Legal Counsel Location: Dubai, UAE We are seeking a Legal Counsel to join an established oil trading business, reporting to the General Counsel and supporting a broad range of commercial, operational and corporate legal matters. Key Responsibilities • Draft, review and negotiate oil trading contracts, GT&Cs, charterparties and commercial agreements. • Advise on legal matters relating to oil trading, shipping and trade finance. • Support disputes, arbitration, litigation and contractual claims. • Assist with legal risk management, compliance and the development of standard documentation. • Provide support on corporate governance, entity formation and shareholder matters. Requirements • 5+ years’ legal experience in private practice or in-house. • Qualified in a common law jurisdiction. • Strong knowledge of English law. • Experience in oil trading, commodities, shipping or maritime law. • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to work in a fast-paced trading environment.
