Location Doha, Qatar Practice Data & AI, Middle East Languages Arabic and English (fluent, required) ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for a bilingual (Arabic and English) Data & AI leader to build Protiviti’s public sector data business in Qatar. You will win and deliver work across ministries, government entities and financial institutions, and build a local practice and team from the ground up. The role combines business development and delivery, and suits someone who already knows the Qatar market well. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Business growth: Build a public sector Data & AI pipeline in Qatar. Find opportunities, shape propositions, lead proposals and close engagements. • Client relationships: Build and deepen senior relationships with the National Planning Council (NPC), ministries, government entities and banks. • Practice building: Hire and develop a local team of data consultants, build delivery capability and grow the practice’s presence in Qatar. • Advisory and delivery: Lead engagements in data strategy, data management, data governance and data platform modernisation, including programmes with an AI component. • Solution leadership: Design solutions on Informatica, Microsoft (Azure, Fabric, Purview) and Google Cloud (GCP). • Thought leadership: Represent Protiviti at industry forums and government events, and help shape Qatar’s data and AI agenda. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE • 10+ years in data and analytics consulting, with at least 5 years at a Big 4 or leading consulting firm. • Significant track record in Qatar, ideally with public sector clients. • Established relationships with the NPC, ministries and banks. • Proven business development success, with a record of originating and closing engagements. • Experience building or leading teams. TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY • Strong grounding in data management and governance: frameworks, data quality, master data management, metadata management and data cataloguing. • Hands-on knowledge of the Informatica platform (IDMC, Data Quality, MDM, Axon/EDC). • Experience with the Microsoft data stack (Azure, Fabric, Purview) and/or Google Cloud data services. • Familiarity with Qatar and GCC national data regulations and government data standards. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR • Fluent Arabic and English, written and spoken (required). • An entrepreneurial, practice-building mindset, comfortable creating something new. • Credibility with senior stakeholders and strong executive communication. • Relevant certifications are a plus (CDMP, DAMA, Informatica, Azure or GCP).
