Role Description The Coating Inspector is a full-time, on-site role based in Doha, Qatar. The individual in this role will inspect and verify the application of coatings, paints, and insulation on industrial equipment, structures, and piping to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing technical drawings and coating procedures, conducting visual and thickness inspections, documenting findings, and preparing inspection reports. The Coating Inspector will coordinate with contractors, supervisors, and quality control teams, provide guidance on corrective actions, and support pre-commissioning and maintenance activities. The role also involves monitoring environmental and surface conditions, ensuring proper surface preparation, and promoting safe work practices on-site. Qualifications • Candidates should possess strong Quality Control skills with experience in inspection, documentation, and adherence to standards. • Candidates should possess skills in Coatings and Paint application, including surface preparation, coating systems, and relevant inspection methods. • Candidates should possess skills related to Insulation, including inspection of insulation materials, installation quality, and protection systems. • Candidates should possess Supervisory Skills to oversee contractors, coordinate work on-site, and support safe and efficient execution of coating and insulation activities. • Relevant technical certification in coating or inspection (e.g., NACE, FROSIO, or equivalent) is highly beneficial. • Experience in industrial plants, oil and gas, or similar heavy industry environments is preferred. • Strong attention to detail, ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications, and effective communication skills are required. • Ability to work on-site in Doha, Qatar, and comply with all safety and regulatory requirements.
