Job Description – External • Review architectural and engineering plans for new healthcare facilities and renovation projects, ensuring compliance with licensing requirements, standards, and regulations. • Ensure that designs comply with building codes, healthcare engineering guidelines, and local and international safety standards to safeguard the well-being of staff and patients. • Conduct site inspections during the construction or renovation phases of healthcare facilities to ensure compliance with approved designs and regulatory requirements. • Compare engineering plans with internationally approved standards and implement the necessary corrective actions to ensure facility compliance. • Ensure the integration of infection prevention and control, patient safety, and patient journey requirements throughout all stages of healthcare facility design and development. • Develop and update guidelines and manuals related to the design and construction of healthcare facilities to ensure a safe, high-quality environment, keeping pace with the latest developments in regulations and licensing standards. • Assess the suitability of geographical locations and internal facilities of healthcare establishments in terms of patient accessibility and operational efficiency. • Perform any other related duties assigned by the direct supervisor.
