Senior Safety Specialist

Key Responsibilities • Develop, implement, and maintain workplace safety policies, procedures, and standards. • Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments across facilities and operations. • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, preparing reports and recommending corrective actions. • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international occupational health and safety regulations. • Provide training and guidance to employees and contractors on safe work practices and emergency procedures. • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and HR teams to integrate safety into daily activities and project planning. • Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation for regulatory compliance. • Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure adequacy of safety resources. • Identify potential hazards and design solutions to prevent workplace injuries or environmental damage. • Support emergency response planning and conduct safety drills. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in safety engineering, Industrial Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field. • Professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, CSP, Kawader) preferred. • Proven experience in safety engineering or a similar role within industrial, construction, or manufacturing sectors. • Strong knowledge of occupational safety regulations, codes, and standards. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to promote a safety culture. • Ability to prepare and deliver safety training programs.
