Internal Controls, Audit and Governance: • Maintain finance policies, procedures, process narratives, risk and control matrices, close checklists, and evidence that key controls have operated effectively. • Lead finance support for internal and external audits, prepare schedules and technical responses, and ensure timely remediation of audit, regulatory, tax, and control findings. • Identify control gaps, data-quality issues, process weaknesses, and system limitations; agree corrective actions and track implementation to completion. Finance Systems and Process Improvement: • Oversee effective use of the accounting or ERP system, chart of accounts, master data, posting rules, user access, interfaces, workflows, and period controls. • Define finance requirements for new products, system enhancements, reporting tools, and integrations, and participate in testing and implementation. • Improve close speed, reporting accuracy, audit trails, reconciliation efficiency, and scalability through standardisation, automation, and clear source-to-report documentation.
