Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Electrical Design Engineer with switchgear manufacturing experience, based in Dubai. The role involves designing and developing electrical systems and switchgear layouts for power distribution projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and client specifications. The Electrical Design Engineer prepares detailed drawings, single-line diagrams, load schedules, and technical documentation, and collaborates with project teams to integrate electrical designs into overall project plans. The position includes reviewing vendor and manufacturer data, coordinating with production and installation teams, and providing technical support during testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting. The engineer is expected to participate in design reviews, optimize solutions for safety and cost-efficiency, and maintain accurate records for quality and regulatory requirements. Qualifications • Candidates should possess strong skills in Electrical Design and Design Engineering for power distribution and switchgear applications. • Candidates should possess solid Electrical Engineering knowledge, including practical understanding of Electricity and power system behavior. • Candidates should possess experience in Power Distribution systems, including switchgear layout, protection schemes, and system coordination. • Relevant bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field. • Prior experience in switchgear manufacturing or electrical panel design in an industrial or construction environment. • Familiarity with applicable IEC and local electrical standards, codes, and safety regulations. • Proficiency in relevant design and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD or similar CAD software) and basic electrical calculation tools. • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams. • Ability to work on-site in Dubai and manage multiple assignments within project timelines.
