Senior Software Engineer

Location: Dubai, UAE Experience: 5–6 years Industry: Banking & Financial Services About the Role: We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer for our banking client in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing secure and scalable software applications to support the bank’s technology and business requirements. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications for banking systems. • Develop and integrate APIs, backend services, and microservices. • Work with databases and external systems to ensure efficient data processing. • Ensure application security, performance, and reliability. • Troubleshoot technical issues and support production applications. • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA, and other development teams. • Participate in code reviews, testing, and Agile development activities. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. • 5–6 years of software development experience, preferably within banking or financial services. • Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs. • Knowledge of SQL databases and application integration. • Familiarity with Git, automated testing, and CI/CD tools. • Understanding of secure coding practices and software development best practices. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
