An independent Japanese Wagyu omakase restaurant in Downtown Dubai. Michelin-recommended in its first year and awarded two toques by Gault&Millau. Counter service, a curated art collection throughout the room, and evening service only. Reception here sits at the front of a dining room that is also an art gallery. You run the book across telephone, WhatsApp and Instagram, own the seating, and present the concept, the artworks and the culture behind them to every guest who walks in. Target start is 1 November. What The Role Covers • Manage reservation enquiries across telephone, WhatsApp and Instagram, with accurate system entry • Welcome and escort guests; own table allocation and reservation flow • Present the concept, the art and the Japanese culture behind the room • Maintain VIP guest information and relationships • Coordinate guest information with service, kitchen and management • Support marketing and deliver daily briefings What We're Looking For • Previous reception or guest relations experience in fine dining • Fluent in a reservations system and comfortable across social channels • Genuinely engaging. This role talks to guests about art and culture, not only tables • Presentation and composure at the door • Fluent in English; Japanese is an advantage. Already in the UAE The package • Commission on art sales alongside salary • Individual medical insurance and staff meals on duty • Flight ticket allowance • Thirty days' annual leave after six months • Six-day week, Mondays off. Previous reception or guest relations experience in fine dining; Fluent in a reservations system and comfortable across social channels; Genuinely engaging with ability to discuss art and culture; Presentation and composure at the door; Fluent in English; Japanese is an advantage.
