English with Stories combines entertaining stories, graded readers, mini-stories, interactive games, vocabulary tools, role-play and AI-assisted learning. The platform is intended for the general public. Some pilots also include older teenagers, adults facing barriers to education and seniors. ICEO focuses on practical, story-driven learning rather than traditional textbook-style study. Volunteers can contribute remotely from anywhere. , ICEO z. s. is a Czech nonprofit developing accessible, engaging ways to learn English online. Our main project, English with Stories, uses stories and interactive activities to make learning practical and enjoyable. We are looking for volunteers with excellent written English to review occasional batches of learning content. You may review short stories, graded readers, dialogue, role-play scenarios, quizzes, learner instructions, English app text or parts of the platform from a user’s perspective. Please flag real grammar, spelling or usage errors; wording that sounds unnatural; story or dialogue details that do not make sense; language that seems too difficult for its intended level; and instructions or app experiences that are confusing. Optional suggestions for improvement are welcome. Concise, constructive feedback is ideal. This is an unpaid, fully remote volunteer role open to applicants anywhere. It is asynchronous we send manageable batches, usually by email, and you review them when it suits you and send back comments or suggested corrections. There are no recurring meetings, no need to be continuously online and no fixed weekly-hours commitment. A typical assignment might be reviewing several short stories or part of a graded reader. We value a careful occasional review over a promise of many fixed hours. You should have excellent written English and a strong sense of natural usage. Native speakers are welcome, but native-speaker status or any particular nationality is not required. C1/C2 or equivalent real-world proficiency is a good guide. Reliability and a constructive approach matter. Interest in language learning, stories or digital education is useful; editing or teaching experience is welcome but not necessary. No teaching qualification is required. Apply through Idealist and briefly answer the screening questions. A CV is not required. We will not ask for a large unpaid test in the initial application; we may later invite suitable applicants to review a short sample story. Show more Show less
