General Accountant

Responsibilities • Ensure business transactions are reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles • Work closely with team members to assist with the month-end close • Accuracy and conformance with laws. • Identify potential areas of opportunity and risk, and provide solutions for businesses and individuals. • Assist with the annual audit process including the draft of the financial statements and related notes • Research and analyze expense variances for company management • VAT & Corp. tax registration, reporting, filling and return. • Create clients statements on a monthly basis • Preparing Statement of accounts, profit and loss and income statement Qualifications • Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, financial reporting, and bookkeeping practices. • Proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheets (e.g., ERP systems, MS Excel). • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and month-end closing. • Understanding of UAE financial regulations, tax requirements, and compliance standards is preferred. • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to identify discrepancies. • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage. • Ability to work on-site in Dubai, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are a plus. • Previous experience as a General Accountant or in a similar accounting role, ideally within a corporate or consulting environment.
