Key Responsibilities Equipment Operation: Operate levers, foot pedals, and joysticks to hoist, swing, and maneuver heavy loads—such as steel beams, concrete panels, forms, and equipment—into precise positions. Pre-Operational Inspections: Perform daily safety and mechanical checks on crane components, cables, brakes, and electrical/hydraulic systems before starting operations. Load Management: Calculate load weights, check load charts, and stay strictly within the crane's rated lifting capacities to avoid tipping or structural failure. Signal & Radio Communication: Maintain constant radio contact or follow visual hand signals from signal persons, riggers, and ground crews during blind lifts or complex maneuvers Weather & Environmental Monitoring: Monitor wind speed, rain, and site conditions, halting operations if weather exceeds safe operating parameters.
