WORK PURPOSE The Senior QA/QC Engineer will provide quality assurance and quality control support for a major energy project in Oman. The role will monitor Contractor and Vendor quality management systems, review quality documentation, support audits and inspections, monitor quality performance and ensure compliance with applicable project requirements. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Comply with Company HSE standards and lifesaving rules. • Promote Company HSE and quality requirements among project teams, Contractors and Vendors. • Advise Project Team and management on QA/QC matters. • Assess Contractor and Vendor Quality Management Systems against applicable ISO 9000 requirements. • Review Quality Plans, ITPs, procedures and quality documentation. • Ensure quality documentation is approved before relevant fabrication and construction activities. • Review Contractor and Vendor quality documentation with discipline engineers. • Identify quality risks and support appropriate mitigation measures. • Attend Contractor and Vendor kick-off meetings. • Plan and conduct quality audits and surveillance activities. • Prepare audit reports and follow up corrective actions. • Monitor quality performance and trends. • Prepare quality reports, dashboards and KPI information. • Issue and follow up NCRs. • Support Root Cause Analysis and corrective actions. • Monitor quality throughout design, procurement, construction, inspection, testing and commissioning. • Support final inspections, testing, commissioning and punch-list activities. • Support project close-out and quality dossier completion. • Provide quality input to project reports and management reviews. REQUIRED COMPETENCES • Quality Management Systems. • QA/QC auditing and surveillance. • Inspection and testing. • NCR management. • Quality reporting and KPI management. • Root Cause Analysis and corrective action follow-up. • Contractor and Vendor quality management. • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Professional stakeholder management. • Strong written and spoken English. QUALIFICATIONS • Graduate Engineer in a relevant discipline, preferably Civil or Mechanical Engineering. • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in buildings, real estate and MEP projects. • Minimum 4 years of management experience in establishment, operation and maintenance of Quality Management Systems. • Experience covering design/engineering, procurement, construction, inspection/testing and commissioning. • Experience in Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) projects. • Experience in real estate projects including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting and water/sewage systems. • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor / IRCA / RABQSA or equivalent certification as applicable. • Knowledge of applicable regulations, international standards and project requirements.
