Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates. The Senior Procurement Engineer – Infrastructure (Arabic Speaker) is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities for infrastructure projects, including sourcing, evaluating, and selecting suppliers for materials and services. The role involves preparing and issuing requests for quotation (RFQs), analyzing vendor proposals, negotiating commercial terms, and coordinating timely issuance of purchase orders. The individual will collaborate closely with project management, engineering, and finance teams to ensure materials and services meet technical specifications, quality standards, cost targets, and delivery schedules. Daily tasks also include maintaining accurate procurement records, monitoring supplier performance, supporting tender processes, and communicating in Arabic and English with stakeholders and vendors to facilitate effective project execution. Qualifications • Candidates should possess strong supplier evaluation and RFQ preparation skills to support effective sourcing and tendering for infrastructure works. • Candidates should possess experience in managing purchase orders and related procurement documentation to ensure accurate and timely ordering and delivery. • Candidates should possess solid analytical skills to review quotations, compare technical and commercial proposals, and optimize cost, quality, and schedule outcomes. • Candidates should possess clear and professional communication skills, including fluency in Arabic and proficiency in English, to interact with suppliers and internal teams. • Relevant bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil, construction, or related field) or supply chain management. • Several years of procurement experience in infrastructure or civil engineering projects within the construction industry, preferably in the U.A.E or GCC. • Knowledge of local and international procurement standards, contract terms, and vendor management practices. • Proficiency with ERP or procurement systems and standard office software; strong attention to detail and ability to work under project deadlines.
