Job Description: Project Procurement Lead Role Overview The Project Procurement Manager/Lead is the procurement representative within industrial/EPC projects, responsible for supporting strategic and operational procurement activities throughout the bid and project lifecycle. The role combines project procurement coordination with sourcing execution and acts as a key interface between business, engineering, suppliers, and procurement stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Project Procurement Leadership • Act as the primary procurement focal point for assigned projects • Support the implementation and execution of project procurement strategies and plans • Translate project targets into procurement actions aligned with cost, schedule, and quality objectives • Ensure early involvement of procurement during development and engineering phases • Apply procurement processes in compliance with company policies and external regulations • Identify procurement risks and support mitigation actions Strategic Sourcing & Contracting • Support the development and implementation of contracting and sourcing strategies • Identify, qualify, and manage consultants, EPC contractors, OEMs, and suppliers • Coordinate tendering processes (RFI, RFQ, RFP, EOI) • Participate in commercial negotiations in coordination with business and category teams • Support commercial evaluations, cost analysis, and supplier recommendations • Contribute to contract preparation and execution with legal and contract management teams Supplier & Contract Management • Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships • Monitor supplier performance, KPIs, and compliance with: • Contractual obligations • ESG / CSR / sustainability targets • Escalate and support resolution of supplier performance issues • Support contract execution and administration activities Project Integration • Interface with project teams, engineering, finance, and legal • Support alignment of procurement activities with project timelines • Contribute to cost competitiveness through market intelligence and benchmarking Risk & Cost Management • Support identification of procurement risks and implementation of mitigation plans • Monitor procurement package budgets and cost evolution • Contribute to achieving: • Savings targets • Performance improvements • Value engineering initiatives Market Intelligence • Conduct continuous market analysis and supplier benchmarking • Identify innovative sourcing solutions and alternative suppliers • Maintain updated knowledge of: • Contractor ecosystem • Category strategies • Market trends and risks Team Coordination • Supervise and support Procurement resources • Ensure alignment with procurement strategy and project objectives • Contribute to team development and capability building Required Skills & Competencies Technical Procurement Skills • Strong knowledge of: • EPC / industrial procurement processes • Contracting strategies (lump sum, unit rate, framework agreements) • Tendering and commercial evaluation • Ability to manage complex technical packages (Mechanical, Electrical, Construction) Project Management Skills • Understanding of: • Project lifecycle (FEED, execution, commissioning, O&M) • Planning, scheduling, and cost control • Ability to work in matrix project organizations Commercial & Negotiation Skills • Effective negotiation and influencing skills • Good commercial awareness and financial understanding • Ability to support management of medium to high-value contracts Analytical & Risk Management • Strong analytical mindset • Ability to assess risks, opportunities, and total cost of ownership (TCO) • Data-driven decision making Stakeholder Management • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders at all levels • Cross-functional collaboration Digital & Tools • Experience with ERP and procurement systems: • SAP / Ariba (preferred) • Strong skills in: • Excel / data analysis • Procurement dashboards and reporting Behavioral Competencies • Ownership mindset and accountability • Results-oriented and proactive • Ability to work in dynamic project environments • High ethical standards and compliance awareness Education & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in: • Engineering is a must, MBA Supply Chain, Project and Risk Management is plus • Minimum: • 8–10 years in procurement • 4+ years in project procurement / EPC environments • Experience supporting industrial, infrastructure, or power generation projects Preferred Certifications • CIPS (Level 4–6) • CIPP/CIPM, CISCP/CISCM • CPSM / CSCP • PMP (PMI) or RMP • FIDIC or Contract Management certifications Show more Show less

Experience supporting industrial, infrastructure, or power generation projects. Preferred Certifications: CIPS (Level 4–6), CIPP/CIPM, CISCP/CISCM, CPSM / CSCP, PMP (PMI) or RMP, FIDIC or Contract Management certifications.
