Role Description The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad. This position is responsible for leading mechanical design projects, including concept development, detailed design, and optimization of mechanical components and assemblies. Day-to-day tasks include creating and reviewing CAD models and drawings, performing design calculations, collaborating with cross-functional teams (such as software, manufacturing, and quality), and ensuring designs meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards. The role also involves guiding junior engineers, participating in design reviews, supporting prototype build and testing, and driving continuous improvement in design processes and documentation. Qualifications • Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and Design Engineering skills. • Proficiency in Machine Design and Product Design for mechanical components and systems. • Advanced experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling and detailed drafting. • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline. • Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in mechanical design engineering, preferably in product or industrial applications. • Ability to perform engineering calculations, tolerance analysis, and material selection. • Experience with design standards, manufacturing processes, and design for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA). • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and quality. • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to mentor and support team members.
