Electrical Engineer – Supervision

Job Summary: Supervise the implementation of electrical works on-site, ensuring compliance with technical drawings, specifications, and approved codes, while monitoring quality, safety, and coordination among all parties to deliver electrical systems efficiently and on schedule. Responsibilities: • Daily supervision of electrical works (power – lighting – panels – cables – low current systems – grounding – lightning protection). • Review and approve Shop Drawings and ensure compliance with IFC drawings. • Review and approve Material Submittals and ensure compliance with specifications and codes (IEC, NEC, IEEE). • Monitor cable laying, pulling, connections, termination, and insulation testing. • Supervise the installation of electrical panels MDB, SMDB, DB and ensure proper connections. • Monitor low current systems such as: • Fire Alarm • CCTV • Access Control • BMS • Data & Communication • Conduct electrical tests including: • Insulation Resistance Test • Continuity Test • Megger Test • Earth Resistance Test • Functional Testing • Coordinate with other disciplines to avoid conflicts (Civil, Mechanical, Architectural). • Prepare daily and weekly reports on work progress and observations. • Manage and guide technicians and contractors to ensure quality execution. • Prepare Snag Lists and follow up on their closure. • Participate in initial commissioning works and ensure systems are ready for handover. • Monitor electrical safety and ensure adherence to HSE procedures. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university or equivalent. • 8–10 years of experience in project supervision. • Strong knowledge of codes and standards: • NEC • IEC • IEEE • NFPA (for alarm systems) • Proficiency in software: • AutoCAD • Revit • MS Office Show more Show less
