About The Role We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join our team. The Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring that all business operations adhere to regulatory requirements and internal policies. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining compliance programs, conducting risk assessments, and providing guidance to various departments to mitigate compliance risks. Strong knowledge of local and international financial regulations, including anti-money laundering (AML), know your customer (KYC), and data privacy laws, is essential. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are required. Certification in compliance or risk management (such as CAMS, CRCM, or equivalent) will be considered an advantage. The candidate should demonstrate high ethical standards, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Responsibilities • Develop, implement, and monitor compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations. • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential compliance issues and implement corrective actions. • Stay updated on evolving regulatory requirements and communicate changes to relevant departments. • Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance-related topics to foster a culture of integrity and accountability. • Collaborate with legal and regulatory bodies during audits and investigations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. • Maintain comprehensive documentation of compliance activities and reports for internal review and external audits. • Assist in the development and implementation of anti-fraud measures and data protection strategies. • Support the onboarding process for new partners and merchants by ensuring compliance with KYC and AML standards. • Monitor transactions and customer activities for signs of suspicious behavior, escalating issues as necessary. • Participate in cross-functional teams to enhance overall risk management and operational efficiency.
