This role is responsible for performing the daily pharmaceutical operational activities including, but not limited to, preparing, compounding and dispensing medication to patients in adherence to prescriptions issued by physicians and in line with M42 and DOH/DHA policies, procedures, guidelines and standards. The incumbent is also responsible for an essential role within pharmacy. Essential roles with pharmacy are Quality, Informatics, Stock management (inventory), or Education. Responsibilities Performs the daily pharmaceutical operations including but not limited to activities related to preparation, verification, PBM approval or charging, compounding, packaging, labelling, appropriate dispensing and delivery of medications in compliance with the relevant rules and regulations. Prepares medications by reviewing and interpreting the physicians’ medication orders and prescriptions and detects any therapeutic incompatibilities. Organizes and directs the pharmacy technicians’ workflow and verifies preparation and labelling of pharmaceuticals, medication order entries, charges and inspections in line with the pharmacy operational requirements. Protects patients and Pharmacy employees by adhering to infection-control protocols. Maintains records for controlled substances and removes outdated and damaged drugs from the pharmacy inventory. Initiates and maintains the continuous monitoring of patient waiting time. Provides support in handling patient feedback on provision of pharmaceutical services and quality service standards. Embraces organizational and physical structures that promote engagement and break down the barriers between employees, patients, residents and families - where applicable. Connects values, strategies, and actions to create cohesion between behaviors and tasks in line with the M42 values. Adopts methods, processes and behaviors to guide interactions that cultivate trust, build reciprocal relationships, and improve communication between internal and external stakeholders. Delivers personalized services based on individual needs, preferences, and values through caring attitudes and compassionate communication to encourage individual and group engagement and satisfaction. Uses evidence to drive improvement and create measurable change. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
