A Snapshot of Your Day To support the strategic ramp-up of the GIS factory operations at SG Dammam and ensure the successful execution of bulk tender and open market orders, Siemens Energy is establishing the Head of Controlling (Factory Finance Controller) role in Saudi Arabia. This position drives financial transparency, end-to-end manufacturing cost optimization, and robust governance within the Switchgears Asia business unit. To address these business aims, the role focuses on factory cost controlling and allocation, monthly internal controls monitoring under IFRS, and the enhancement of budgeting and forecasting quality. These core areas directly enable precise financial steering, risk mitigation, and operational efficiency across the manufacturing lifecycle. Given the focus on manufacturing finance and governance, the ideal candidate will possess a strong background in industrial cost accounting, IFRS compliance, and financial leadership. Extensive experience in factory controlling within the energy or heavy manufacturing sector is highly preferred. How You’ll Make An Impact • Oversee end-to-end product manufacturing cost controlling, variance analysis, and cost allocation processes for the GIS factory in Dammam. • Establish and monitor key manufacturing performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational efficiency and cost optimization. • Manage product costing, inventory valuation, and scrap/obsolescence controls within the factory environment. • Drive the annual budgeting process and monthly financial forecasting cycles to improve accuracy and quality of financial steering. • Analyze financial performance against targets, providing actionable insights and corrective recommendations to the plant management team. • Strengthen, execute, and monitor internal financial controls on a monthly basis in strict compliance with IFRS and corporate guidelines. • Lead audit preparations and coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure clean compliance records for factory operations. What You Bring • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a closely related field. Minimum of 8 to 10 years of professional experience in financial controlling, with a strong focus on factory or manufacturing environments • Proven leadership experience managing finance teams and driving internal controls in compliance with IFRS • Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants • Expertise in industrial cost accounting, including product costing and valuation, as well as variance analysis and financial modeling. • Strong understanding of IFRS standards and financial reporting, internal controls and SOX compliance, as well as financial risk management. • Expertise in budgeting and forecasting, stakeholder management and business partnering, as well as team leadership and talent development.
