What ACES is Looking For? ACES is looking for a Senior Calibration Engineer to join the team in Khobar, Saudi Arabia. Job Summary: Coordinate construction testing activities with technicians and clients, ensure that the site labs are ready in terms of equipment’s specifications, calibration certificate ……etc. Issue testing reports, coordinate construction testing activities with technicians and clients and ensure all testing are performed according to required specifications and lead the team under direct supervision and motivate them to maintain team efficiency. Duties and Responsibilities: Managerial Duties: • Implement company policies, goals, objectives and procedures and support in their development as needed. • Oversee the implementation of operations plan, policies, procedures and transition/ migration plans. • Support calibration technical head in management of resources, cost control and budgeting. • Monitor costs and resources in day-to-day activities • Avoid any conflicts of interest that could compromise impartiality. Provide unbiased and objective assessments of equipment, ensuring all calibrations are performed to the highest standards without external influence. • Maintain the confidentiality of all data and calibration results. This includes secure handling and storage of sensitive information. Technical Duties: • Respond to customers’ inquiries concerning Calibration progress and reporting. • Prepare and initially check calibration reports prior to their submission for approval by the calibration Head. • Analyze data and conduct corrective action to prevent non-conforming items. • Set calibration schedules and supervise work performed by supervisor & technicians. • Communicate with equipment suppliers/vendors and calibration agency for purchasing, calibration & rental. • Review the master equipment certificates, calibration agencies CMC’s, suppliers’ proposals in accordance with the relevant standard requirements. • Evaluate the requests, prepare and provide quotes and bids on calibration, maintenances and special inspection works. • Conduct calibration/verification and special inspection reports and communicate results to calibration section head, client, contractor and other relevant parties. • Ensure tests are carried out in accordance with relevant standard test methods/work instructions and according to agreed customers’ requirements. • Conduct analysis as required after receiving tests results from technicians and ensure its compliance with national and international standards. • Ensure all site/lab equipment and instruments are fit for use by provision of necessary resources for the implementation of calibration and maintenance programs. • Investigate existing and potential non-conformities in activities, devise and implement effective corrective and preventive actions. • Perform review of related orders and ensure all the required information is clear and available. • Ensure proper storage of received items, maintain and record specified storage conditions, if any, handling requirement and ambient temperature/humidity. • Supervise the work of lab supervisor and Data Entries. • Reviewing and approving of certificates, technical proposals and special reports in coordination with the calibration Head. • Provide technical training to technicians, and adopting new technologies related to calibration. Reporting To: Calibration Technical Section Head Direct Reports: Calibration Lab Supervisor/ Technicians/ Data entry Job Requirements: Education & Experience: • Bachelor's degree in engineering physics, or a related scientific field is often preferred. • 4-6 years of experience in the field of calibration and Instrument Engineering. Knowledge, skills, and abilities: • Calibration Work Instructions /Test Standards and Specifications related to calibration. • Understanding of various measurement instrument and their calibration/maintenances. • Metrology and SI Principles to ensure precision and accuracy in measurements • Identify the potential sources of Measurement uncertainty. • Operation and Use of Testing Equipment. • Fundamentals of Mathematics, Calculations, Statistics and Data Analysis. • Various software related to calibration activities. • Measurement, Basic Technical and Laboratory skills. • Occupational Safety. • Ms. Word, excel & Outlook Why work for ACES?
