Health & Safety Supervisor Job Description We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Supervisor to oversee and maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental practices across the workplace. The role is responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies, HSE regulations, and applicable safety standards while promoting a strong safety culture among employees and contractors. Key Responsibilities • Supervise daily health and safety activities across the assigned site. • Conduct regular workplace inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments. • Identify potential hazards and implement appropriate control measures. • Ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and legal requirements. • Monitor safe work practices and ensure employees follow safety procedures. • Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions. • Prepare and maintain HSE reports, inspection records, and incident documentation. • Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness training for employees. • Monitor the proper use of PPE and safety equipment. • Coordinate emergency response procedures and participate in emergency drills. • Follow up on corrective and preventive actions to ensure timely closure. • Work closely with supervisors, managers, contractors, and employees to resolve safety issues. • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the site's HSE management system. • Promote a proactive safety culture and encourage employees to report hazards and unsafe practices. • Provide regular safety performance updates and recommendations to management. Role Requirements • Relevant qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, HSE, or a related field. • Previous experience in a Health & Safety/HSE supervisory role. • Good knowledge of workplace safety regulations, risk assessment, and incident investigation. • Strong communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to conduct safety inspections and deliver effective safety training. • Relevant HSE certifications are preferred.
