Environmental Officer

Key Responsibilities • Ensure site compliance with environmental laws, permits, and project requirements. • Implement and maintain the Environmental Management Plan (EMP). • Conduct environmental inspections, audits, and risk assessments. • Monitor air, dust, noise, water, wastewater, soil, and other environmental impacts. • Manage waste segregation, storage, recycling, and disposal. • Maintain environmental records, permits, reports, and monitoring data. • Investigate environmental incidents, spills, complaints, and non-conformities. • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly environmental reports. • Coordinate with clients, consultants, authorities, laboratories, and waste contractors. • Conduct environmental awareness training and toolbox talks. • Monitor subcontractor environmental compliance. • Support environmental audits, inspections, permits, and ISO 14001 requirements. • Track environmental KPIs and support sustainability initiatives. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field. • 5+ years of relevant environmental experience, preferably in construction, infrastructure, oil & gas, MEP, or industrial projects. • Knowledge of environmental regulations, waste management, pollution control, and monitoring. • ISO 14001 knowledge/certification is an advantage. • Strong communication, reporting, inspection, and documentation skills.
